HissssRawwwrrr! I have no idea what sound a wyvern actually makes.
Wyverns are eloquently described as ‘bi-pedal winged dragons with an arrow shaped tail’. It would appear that English speaking countries are some of the few to make the distinction between four legged dragons and two legged wyverns, with most of the world chucking them both in to a single ‘dragon’ category.
Unlike the clock tower that was removed for decades, Old Red has been protected by four terra cotta wyvern the entire time. If you look at the roof line these days, you will see two authentic wyvern and two reproductions. Due to damage, two were taken down in 1967. They were replaced with replicas.
