Taking a break from the bleak story of Holmes’ crimes, let’s go back to the mess he left in Fort Worth – the host of unpaid contractors working on his new hotel where the Flying Saucer stands now.  The contractors banded together and sued to get their unpaid wages.  But, the bank that was financing the construction also went to court to get paid.  There was only enough money left in Holmes’ possession from his ill-gotten insurance money and property to pay one or the other.  I am happy to announce that the blue-collar workers won!  The bank got zip, had to eat its loss, and the contractors were all paid.
