Sitting in the archives of the Dallas Public Library going through tax rolls and city directories is tough on the back, but a treasure trove of little finds.
Here we have one of the many advertisements. This one is from the 1888 City Directory for a fine establishment selling cool, fresh beer. Plus, they have their own dancing pavilion! It’s a beautiful day for beer and dancing.
