I got a little flakey with posting there for a while, so your reward is this magnificent Dallas Building! It has a few names: the Kirby Building (now), the Busch Building (when it was constructed), the Busch-Kirby Building (as listed on the National Register of Historic Places).
Who: Adolphus Busch (of Anheuser-Busch fame) funded it.
What: Gothic Revival style (fancy-pants details and a lot of pointed arches)
Where: 1501 – 1509 Main Street, kiddy-corner from the Adolphus (also his).
When: 1913
Why: Because he had oodles of beer money and like Dallas?
Fun fact: this is thought to be only the second major Gothic Revival Building in the US. The first? A synagogue in Savannah, Georgia, of course.
