Fatal Shooting Brings Dismissal of Divorce Suit
Judge John A. Rawlins Monday dismissed a divorce suit styled: C. L. Trego III vs. Edna I. Trego.
Trego, of 2016 Hickory, a 36-year-old ironworker, died early Sunday after an altercation with his estranged wife, Mrs. Edna Trego, 25 of Amarillo, at the Union Station Saturday night.
He sustained a pistol wound in the right temple and Mrs. Trego was shot in the left hip. Mrs. Trego’s condition was described as good at St. Paul Hospital. Mrs. Trego had come to Dallas to confer with her husband concerning the suit, filed in Judge Rawlins’ court in July.
Funeral services for Trego were held Monday at the Suggs Funeral Chapel. He is survived by his wife, a son, Charles L. Trego IV; two sisters, his father, mother and a brother.

Just to be clear: a woman in the midst of a divorce came up to Dallas from Amarillo, got in a GUN fight with her husband IN THE TRAIN STATION, he was shot and killed. This article notes that his funeral has already taken place. And the newspaper article is about the divorce proceedings being dismissed, NOT about her being charged in any way?
I need the rest of this story. I also need to know if he had any life insurance that she might be paid out as the widow.
