There is an exhibit, Shot in Texas, inside the Hall of State. Of interest to Explore Dallas History fans is this bit about Edison’s kinetoscope.  The kinetoscope was the predecessor to motion pictures.  It has factored in the posts here because Edison sent a guy to the Crash at Crush in 1896 to get footage with his brand new kinetoscope.  No footage has ever been found, but the camera man escaped unscathed unlike the hired photographer who took a flying bolt through the eye.  Yikes.
(However, plenty of the photographer’s pics are still in existance.  Mr. Bolt Truda Eye was kind of a bad ass.  Want to see them?  Click on the link to read through our previous posts on this famous scheduled train crash.)
